By love here I guess you mean infatuation.

  • You can’t stop love from happening, can’t ask it to stay and also can’t stop it from leaving. Love is unstoppable. But yes you can have an constant awareness of your feelings so as to keep your heart in check.
  • Ask rational question about why you love some one.If you can get some answers and can produce some counterarguments,congrats it was only attraction and not love. Love is some thing irrational, just happens and cannot be stopped. More you avoid your love,more intense it becomes.Ironical,isn’t it.Thus never avoid your lover (if true love is there).
  • Distraction is always a sexual word.Love motivates and not distracts.Only incomplete(unfinished, undecided) love is infinitely sucking and distracting. I have a rule.Whatever it takes, cut it short.Don’t linger or let other person linger.Make it clear from your SIDE. It may be yes or no but at least you are free.A courage of small time will save a lot of hassles and mental energy.
  • If it is taking longer than usual,probably it’s not there.
