I am already living a life equivalent to retirement.

  1. I have no loans. Neither car nor house. I don’t plan to take one either. I find car as a useless luxury. It is a depreciating asset. Every year you can get a new model. I can hire a new one with driver whenever I wish. I believe that future is ‘rent a car’. Also house on average gives return of 14% while market gives 17% CAGR for any market linked fund. My average return from market is 30–40% due to timed buying and selling ( after holdings for considerable time period to maximize LTCG). Returns from real state is quite less if you take into account loan and interest. As I have shown in many of my earlier answers that loan of same amount and SIP of same amount for a period of say 20 years can produce a difference of 100% in absolute returns!
  2. I work for maximum 4–5 hours per day. Rest of the time I find my life quite a leisure. I love my job absolutely and hence I enjoy my job time also.
  3. Moto of my life is that “ life must be fun”. I am a staunch follower of OSHO in that regard. Whether you are rich or poor, young or old, employed or not, you must enjoy life. The most precious thing we have is not money but life. Watch ZNMD for more :).
  4. Referring to famous Steve Jobs speech “If this would have been last day of my life…)” …I can safely say that yes I would do the same thing if today was my last day.

I strongly recommend OSHO for that.

It is the wisdom which liberates you and not the money.
