You are doing all the right things to ramp up your game physically. For mental conditioning, I suggest

  1. Practice a lot. Go to the field. Test one principle at a time.
  2. Make a journal, google docs is better. Write up about your proceedings in that. All good points you tested for your own personality, you own commentary about your ideas. Your personality is unique.
  3. Read a lot of material. You shall get only few points from each book or article. Few nuggets which you don’t know and are applicable for YOUR personality.
  4. Make a list of most important points from TRP thread or any books you have read. Paste them on your mirror (VIMP).
