There is no entity like unconditional love. In fact love is unconditional by default.

Yes love is unconditional and what we call ‘love’ today is mere ego play.

Why don’t we love unconditionally even if we want it ?

The reason is that we have our protection mechanisms devised for ourselves.To love unconditionally is a vulnerable emotion.We have loved people unconditionally and we have felt the betrayal more often than not. We all have our wounds.

Some people make it difficult to love or have your belief reinstated in love for long. Why ?

Because there are manipulators,charmers,seducers who are well conversant in weaknesses of human psychology.We often are easily attracted to these creatures in the beginning of our love life.They bite us and bite us hard. Now the problem begins. With quite a few bad encounters we start to build a protective shield around our selves.Next time we get some true genuine love, we try to analyze them with our past experiences.A vicious circle begins!

To love unconditionally is letting go of your ego.This is the most difficult part of love.Ego is also our protection mechanism.

Hence unconditional love is very much relevant today but to observe it you need to reach core of any one.A little secret.We all are very good from our deep core.But to reach that part of heart you have to encounter conscious mind, evolutionary instincts and ego.Lovers who surpass these difficult phases experience true joy, the supreme ecstasy and enlightenment through love.

The method to reach such states is to let go. Do not keep any past baggage. What ever any one said to you, did to you was their state of mind on that particular moment. If they want to come back,let them come with out any filters.

Jesus said,love is god.Love is devotion, acceptance and above all surrender.

If there is any thing,let it be your ego, i.e. YOU , in between US,then love is pain and tragedy.

PS : A point of caution. When any one surrenders themselves before us, often our ego comes in between and says ‘look they are weak, vulnerable and needy’. Avoid this vicious circle.Embrace them and love shall prosper.

PPS : Real test of love comes in dissolution of ego and complete surrender. All your insecurities, jealousy,mind games, power games, fights,ego play etc. are only present because you fear from surrender of self. If you really love and are expecting nothing in return, all these fears are superficial. Be like Meera and you shall conquer any one.
