My simplification shortcut for life is to have a single theme for life. I have a common agenda encompassing all my life deeds.
” I must have fun in whatever I am doing”.
- Be in the moment: If I am traveling, I enjoy my ride, drive or commute, whatever way I pursue it. I am present in the very moment I.e. ‘awareness of moment ‘ as Osho calls it or ‘mindfulness’ as modern day life coaches call it. My mind lives in the moment,in the present,in the little droplets of fresh rain,in that delicious Street snack. I don’t think about anything else in that moment. My moments are ‘single focus’. Regrets of past and worries of future do not trouble me then. If I have to worry about future, I will assign a particular time set for it. Worry for one hour, list my problems, possible aftermaths and worst case scenarios along with probable solutions. After that I stop thinking about it.
- Clear mind: Thinking or over thinking is also a bad habit and kind of persistent one. I keep my mind clear for most of the time. Two things which helps me to attain this are
- Physical exercise
- Meditation
Clear mind relieves you of too many unnecessary cyclic redundancy thoughts which may never materialise.
Einstein quotes: I never think of future too much. It comes soon enough.
By the time you are finished worrying about your[pullquote]I have no attachments to the things I love. I love many people and things but no attachments in the sense of expectations and rewards.[/pullquote] girlfriend cheating behind your back for past six months, you get the proof that she may not! ( Or get the proof that she was!). Worrying does not affect the outcome.
3. No attachments and outcome independent work : I have no attachments to the things I love. I love many people and things but no attachments in the sense of expectations and rewards. I love my children but do not expect them to give it back to me when I get old. I am providing to them without a single bit of expectation.
If someone cheats with me behind my back, I don’t care. I do my job, play my part and go away. I make sure that I was correct. I care not about things beyond my control.
