I used to be a lot more talkative earlier but not now. My trick was
- Ask any thing trivial like what’s the time, where is this bus going etc. Be calm and natural.
You got a general method. Start with any trivial question and get keywords from those initial questions.Expand those key words. After a while, go to personal details.
- Carry forward the conversation where it ends. Link objects/places/people.
- Q: What is the time ?
- A : 10: 20 PM
- Thanks. After a pause. Nice watch. Where did you get this from or nice shoes or nice tie or what ever you can find.A : I got this from Dadar, (Insert some market name).
- Q : Ohh.. Dadar, nice place. What places I can visit there besides Shivaji park ?

Don’t’s
- Never start with personal question ‘like what is name please!’, specially with women. their conscious mind shall alert them and conversation might not go ahead. Establish your harmlessness and familiarity with out going personal.
- Ask a direct question. Never start with ‘Excuse me , can I ask a question if you don’t mind’. Go straight. You only have two or three question space to surpass the conscious mind. Also if you ask permission to ask, it signifies under confidence.
- Do not introduce yourself (specially with women), if they don’t ask about you to begin with.
- Find common grounds : Your initial conversation and scrutiny is just to find common grounds. Find them and stick to them.
