I shall start with ‘negotiation’ hacks for salary.

  • Power of silence : While negotiating anything like salary, raise, bonus etc. it is always beneficial to listen to the offer (Suppose 80k), repeat the offer in front of them and remain silent for seven seconds(As if you are thinking about offer).   • Power of proactiveness : In any negotiation, the person who throws the first offer is always at profit.Whatever value you choose to project, it becomes the ‘anchor’ for future offers!. Always places the higher value than you are expecting.You want 80k, then place 120k as starting offer. Be cautious of employers boundaries.Think that your employer wants to hire you for the lowest amount possible. If he says 80k means he has the capacity to pay more. It’s just the lowest amount. If he says a lower value first, never accept this first offer. Make a higher range say 130k and start negotiating.
  • Power of non rounded numbers : If they ask ‘what is your expectation ?’, always come up with something like 87560/- and not 87,000/-. Why ? Human mind loves rounded values. 87k can easily be rounded to 85k while 87,750/- can only be rounded to 87k ! You can say that this is 15% more than my current salary to justify such weird number.

Surprise is always associated with thrill and mind remembers those things which are new to it and thrilling.You mild surprises shall do the trick and you may find a special place in the hearts of your ‘special ones’. Note : Be moderate and avoid calling them at 2 am and meeting them in the ‘saloon’ when they are busy ‘faking their making’![pullquote]All this is needed in the very beginning of relationships when you are just a seed in their love field’.   • Create a pleasant pattern : Love is emotion and emotions are volatile in nature. Always avoid monotonicity. Sometimes be filled with jokes and laughter and the times just be silent. Sometimes remain absent from them so that they value you and long you.All this is needed in the very beginning of relationships when you are just a seed in their love field’. As love develops, these things are not needed. by patterns I do not say to play game but be natural. Isn’t it true that on some days you are just angry and not in mood. Just be that. Why be a fake ice guy or girl ?
  • Trust your ‘gut’ instincts : If you feel like calling your girl or boy, do that. Don’t think a lot. But don’t over do. If they don’t want to talk at that time then BNBR.
