Relationships are dealt in two ways.
In professional scenario, we work with feelings set aside. We have definite task and fixed compensation. We are monetarily compensated for our hardships (read ego hurt) . We are not emotionally invested in prof projects. We stop thinking about it the moment we step in to our house. Even if we think of it, it’s more of professional concern than of emotional trauma. Further the day our ego hurt surpasses our remuneration, we switch!
For personal relationships, we are emotionally invested. We take more pain and suffering to keep them going. We give more of our emotions into them and at times expecting (read getting) nothing in return. This creates emotional turmoil at times. If not dealt properly, results are often devastating. Since we are often selfless and uncompensated in relationships, the emotional baggage is always heavier.
No business in relationships and no relationships in business.
Heart and mind never gel well.
