  3. The writer’s personality does have an effect on upvotes.
  4. Quora shows answers based on preferences of users. Established writers are more influential in affecting the algorithms. Quora shows more of the writer’s answers to people who have liked their content any time before. Thus, a earlier history too helps any writer to get more views and appreciation.

This effect is known as Mathew’s effect in psychology.
